Bear Valley Springs Clubs & Organizations

- AIM (Actively Involved Mothers) – Organizes fun, safe, structured events in BVS for the kids.
- ALLIES & ALBUM MAKERS – Gathering of album makers and scrap bookers, meets monthly on the 3rd & 4th Monday.
- BEAR SPINNERS & WEAVERS – Exchanging of techniques & support
- BEAR VALLEY BUCKAROOS – Promotes safe, fun, western cowboy activities for kids and adults alike. All levels of riders welcome.
- BEAR VALLEY 4H – Open to all children ages 7 to 18. Current projects include horse, llama, poultry,sheep, goats, rabbits, creative arts & textiles.
- BEAR VALLEY PONEY CLUB – This club is an educational organization, teaching riding, mounted sports and the care of horses and ponies.
- BEAR VALLEY YOUTH SPORTS CLUB – This club will assist with the fund raising and distribution of raised funds for the betterment of youth sports activities in BVS. Monthly meetings are held the 4th Thursday of the month at 6:00 PM at the OTCC card room.

- BVPD VIPS (Volunteers in Police Service) – Community minded service.
- BVS CRAFTY LADIES – Meets at the Equestrian Center Lounge, every Tuesday, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Bring your own project and get acquainted!
- BVS CULTURAL ARTS ASSOCIATION – Provides cultural events for the enrichment of the members and community.
- BVS DEBATING SOCIETY – Present public debates on issues of interest to BVS property owners and residents.
- BVS DRESSAGE CLUB – Active in many equestrian dressage activities in the local area.
- BVS EMERGENCY AMATEUR RADIO TEAM – This team is made up of licensed amateur radio operators in BVS who donate their services in times of an emergency. Weekly net check-in on Sunday evenings @ 7:00 PM 146.700Mhz(-) PL88.
- BVS GARDEN CLUB – The Garden Club meets March — October at the Equestrian Center Lounge. We plan garden tours, programs, etc.
- BVS HORSEMAN’S ASSOCIATION – Promotes fellowship, equestrian activities and facilities, supports acquisition and preservation of riding trails.
- BVS MEN’S SERVICE CLUB – A group of men joining together for service to the community and fellowship.
- BVS SPORTSMAN’S CLUB – Coordinates a wide variety of RV, sports and social activities.
- BVS WOMEN’S CLUB – Provides an opportunity for good fellowship among the women of BVS.
- CARRAIGE DRIVING SOCIETY – Meetings are the 2nd Thursday each month at 6:00 PM at the Equestrian Center Lounge. We promote safe driving, drive and ride outings and goodhorsemanship.
- CERT (COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM – Training BVS residents to “be prepared and ready to serve” in the event of a local disaster situation.
- FRIDAY NIGHT BRIDGE PARTY – Provides a friendly, relaxed atmosphere for couples and singles to enjoy social bridge.
- GENE’S BRIDGE CLUB – Provides a friendly and relaxed atmosphere for enjoying duplicate bridge.
- OAK TREE COUNTRY CLUB WOMEN’S GOLF CLUB – Develops and promotes golf and social activities among members. Contact the Pro Shop, 821-5144.

- TEHACHAPI MOUNTAINS BIRDING CLUB – Contact Clark Moore, 821-5303 – a non-profit, independent club dedicated to a better understanding of Tehachapi area birds.
- TRAIL TREKKERS ENDURANCE CLUB – Enhancing club member’s enjoyment of existing trail system within BV, increase knowledge in safe long distance trail riding and equine metabolic system.

- BEAR VALLEY SPRINGS DIRT RIDERS – Organized for off-road motorcyclists looking for fun places to ride and good people to ride with. Contact Billy Dean at 821-1026.
- BETA SIGMA PHI – Our organization is social and philanthropic and everyone is invited, as we are a sisterhood that is not affiliated with any college or church. We meet once a month for a luncheon and have many social events. Our group is a wonderful way to make close girlfriends. For more info, contact Arlene Weed at 821-7888.
- BOOK CLUB – Club meets every 4″ Tuesday at 12:15 at various member homes, book selection is open. Contact Debbie at 661-203-4313.
- CHESS CLUB – Club meets every 3rd and 4th Tuesday from 9:00 – noon at the OTCC Card Room. Just show up and have fun. Contact Debbie at 661-203-4313.
- TEHACHAPI MOUNTAIN QUILT GUILDWe meet the lst Monday of the month at the BVS Community Church between 9:00 – 9:30 AM. Social time and business at 9:30. If the first Monday is a holiday, we meet the second Monday of that month. Visitors and new members are welcome.
- TEHACHAPI MOUNTAINS BIRDING CLUB – A non-profit independent club dedicated to a better understanding of Tehachapi birds. Contact Al Crisalli Jr. at 823-0474.
BEAR VALLEY SPRINGS KIDS STUFF!
Tennis – Our On-site Tennis Pro offers both private and group lessons for kids and adultsalike. During the year, there are 2 Fun Days scheduled, along with 2 Tournaments,usually held in March and October.
Golf – Jr Golf Clinics – are held around the first weekend in June – Clinics are a series of 4 lessons, covering all aspects of the game from full shots, sand shots, chipping and putting. Also touching on rules and etiquette.
Equestrian Center – Host monthly play days, horse shows, Fall Festival, trail rides for kids 8 and over, birthday parties and special events.
Pool – During the summer, the pool is open daily, with swim lessons and open swim available. A “kiddie” pool is available all day, and is securely fenced away from the Main Pool. Opens Memorial Day Weekend and closes in the fall (depending on weather).
Starlight Movies – During the summer months, movies are offered on Friday evenings at Cub Lake. There is no charge for attending.
Whiting Center – Coordinated sports, crafts as well as a newly renovated playground offer a large variety of supervised and unsupervised activities for children. This is truly the recreation center of the Valley.
